What we do: Our Mission is to empower our community by providing client focused service, one car crash at a time. We help our (injured) clients find medical care and we work with insurance adjusters to get our clients compensated for their medical bills and injuries. Insurance companies are corporate giants that we sometimes have to fight with to get justice for our clients. If you can serve up a good argument, you’re going to love this job!

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Drafting contingency fee agreement for services and medical releases for client records
  • Create virtual and physical files for every signed case
  • Conduct intake interviews with clients to obtain information for case file
  • Open up claim with insurance carriers, locate adjuster and contact info
  • Draft and send representation letters to auto insurance adjuster, health insurance company and medical providers
  • Follow protocols to obtain policy limits from defendant’s carrier
  • Send welcome letter to new clients
  • Send drop letters to rejected or “dropped” clients; withdrawal letters to insurance company
  • Work with client to locate and schedule treatment
  • Verify client treatment compliance, by conducting treatment status updates and balance verification
  • Care call to client every 20-35 days
  • Request, and follow up, to obtain, review, and “clean” medical records
  • Obtain & review police reports, witness statements, and photos
  • Obtain property damage estimate & photos
  • Tracking of case costs
  • Obtain PIP liens, health insurance liens, and provider liens
  • Draft Demand letter with attachments
  • Draft settlement memos
  • Attend morning team meeting
  • Attend weekly staff meeting

INDEPENDENCE AND DECISION MAKING

  • Job holders are guided by general procedures and professional norms, with periodic checks on accuracy, quality, and timeliness of outcomes.
  • COMPLEXITY AND PROBLEM SOLVING
  • Must find solutions to modestly technical or operational problems; once problem is identified, solutions generally can be resolved using conventional or standard procedures.
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Salary for this position is based on experience. A contract shall reflect the terms of wage and any additional benefits such as vacation pay, sick pay, and health benefits.
